“WELCOME WALL” AT PLUMSTEAD MANOR SCHOOL
With guidance from Shermaine Slocombe, the pupils at Plumstead Manor School created collages and drawings incorporating the word “Welcome” in some 90 languages, many of which are spoken in the school. These images have been skilfully collated to cover a space of 10ft x 12ft, turning an otherwise blank wall into a colourful and imaginative “Welcome Wall” to greet pupils and visitors alike when visiting the school.
The Arts Society Greenwich kindly donated £500 towards the materials used and the hours of work involved in this project.
