Guided Tour of the Galleries and Exhibitions at Christie's
Monday 16 March 2020

10 am start

Christie’s was founded in 1766. Subsequently it has conducted some of the most famous and celebrated auctions in the world. In 1778 James Christie negotiated the sale of the art collection of Sir Robert Walpole to Catherine the Great of Russia. It is now part of the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg. Originally located in Pall Mall, Christie’s moved to its present location in 1823.

We shall enjoy a private guided tour through the galleries and exhibitions and a talk from a specialist of the upcoming Prints and Multiples Sale. This sale includes works by Warhol, Hockney, Bridget Riley and Banksy.

Morning tea will be served.
